Canon showcases new wireless detector technology

Canon has introduced its new wireless detector offering, the CXDI-70C wireless digital radiography system, at the Canon Expo 2010 in New York City this week.

The 7.5 pound portable detector offers a 14-inch by 17-inch image area, same dimensions ISO 4090 film cassette and cable-free image transfer capabilities, stated the Lake Success, N.Y.-based company. In addition, the Cesium Iodide scintillator allows for the reduction of x-ray exposure to the patient, said Canon.
