Analogic restructures, Mervat to spearhead new unit

Medical imaging technology provider Analogic has combined the leadership of its OEM medical businesses, and named Mervat Faltas as senior vice president and general manager of the newly combined business unit.

Previously, Mervat was president of Analogic's ANRAD subsidiary, a manufacturer of Selenium-based x-ray detector plates for digital mammography systems. According to the Peabody, Mass.-based company, Mervat joined ANRAD in 2005 as vice president of operations and became president in 2006. Prior to her employment at Analogic, Mervat served as president and CEO of ITF Optical Technologies.

The new business unit will combine the companies’ CT and MRI business, said Analogic.
