Mich. practice taps Merge for meaningful use

Regional Medical Imaging in Flint, Mich., is collaborating with Merge Healthcare to meet meaningful use (MU) requirements.

The imaging center will leverage Merge RIS v7.0 to meet MU. Merge is pursuing certification for its RIS v7.0 for Stage 1 MU, from which Regional Medical Imaging expects to receive $600,000 in incentives.

In addition, Regional Medical plans to use Merge iConnect, iConnect Share and iConnect Kiosk to create image interoperability, according to the Chicago-based health IT company.
