Quality Health Network welcomes two more Colo. orgs

Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colo. and Pioneers Medical Center in Meeker, Colo. have joined Quality Health Network (QHN), a Grand Junction, Colo.-based healthcare system.

Valley View and Pioneers will join 162 healthcare organizations that utilize the QHN health information exchange (HIE). Physicians of Valley View Hospital and Pioneers Medical Center will be able to electronically exchange and share clinical patient information and medication history with healthcare providers across the region.

QHN unites more than 600 providers and 2,440 online users in 20 western Colorado counties, delivering quality outcomes and enhanced care management for approximately 465,000 residents. Axolotl, now OptumInsight, powers the real-time clinical messaging infrastructure that enables authorized physicians to share clinical data at the point of care among various hospital information and EMR systems, stated the San Jose, Calif-based company.
