HIMSS: Novarad, Dell debut vendor neutral archive
NEW ORLEANS—Novarad and Dell have partnered to create Marz, a vendor neutral archive to store and manage patient data.
Marz combines Dell’s Unified Clinical Archive for on-premise or in the cloud data storage and management with Novarad’s viewer, iPad viewer or optional clinical viewer for image and report access.
With Marz, medical imaging data objects that adhere to standards-based IHE protocols of DICOM and non-DICOM file formats can be shared, exchanged and managed.
Marz’ open-standards format (XDS/XDSI protocol) makes it possible for facilities bring data together from disparate silos and store it in a non-proprietary format that enables data and images to be shared in a hospital information exchange, American Fork, Utah-based Novarad said in a release.
