Community HIEs, regional IPAs select Greenway

Greenway Medical Technologies has added four health information exchange (HIE) programs, independent physician associations (IPA) and regional medical centers to its client roster using PrimeSuite, the company’s EHR practice management and interoperability system, to connect group practices using clinical, financial and administrative functions.

The Carrollton, Ga.-based Greenway Medical stated that the installations will include:
  • Marion County Medical Society/Healthy Ocala HIE in Marion County, Fla., to connect 500 physicians within the newly established HIE;
  • Central Jersey HIE Project in Middlesex County, N.J., to help establish a sustainable HIE;
  • Highlands Physicians IPA in Kingsport, Tenn., to exchange data from practicing physicians throughout northeast Tennessee and southwest Virginia; and
  • Southern Ohio Medical Center/SOMC Medical Care Foundation in Portsmouth, Ohio, to endorse the implementation to its hospital-owned and private physician practices.
