Teaching young people how to be savvy with TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram and YouTube may be parents’ best bet for helping their kids skirt some deleterious effects of social media overuse. 

The Texas-based company is buying Precision Medicine Group, a Maryland-based company that supports cancer drug development with a variety of resources, including data and labs. 

It isn’t clear how many scammers are involved in the effort, but health systems across the country are warning their patients to ignore fake messages, many of which offer a “reward” in the form of a “MyChart Medicare Kit.”

The details are still unclear, but an anesthetic used during joint replacement surgeries may have been contaminated with potassium. The number of victims and the full extent of the injuries are still being investigated by the hospital and the state.
