Nebraska may let voters decide on ACA Medicaid expansion

This November, Nebraska voters may decide whether the state will become the 35th to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Insure the Good Life, a campaign to expand Medicaid, recently submitted 135,000 signatures to the secretary of state. If 85,000 are validated, the question will be on the ballot.

"Now people will speak out and get the job done that should have been done long ago," said state Sen. Adam Morfeld, a Democrat from Lincoln, Nebraska, in an NPR story.

If so, Nebraska will join Utah and Idaho as states including a ballot measure on expansion of Medicaid under the ACA.
