This requires the development of standardized quality data sets and work flows that enable automation of quality measures through electronic health records. This session will explore national priorities and goals related to meaningful use of EHR data for purposes of quality measurement and performance improvement. The presenter will review the requirements for enabling automated quality measurement as a by-product of EHR data capture. Examples showing how standardized quality data sets can enable the power of the EHR in quality measurement will be presented.
