EHNAC, Direct partner on national accreditation

The Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission (EHNAC) is partnering with DirectTrust.org to create a national accreditation program for health information service providers, certificate authorities and registration authorities.

DirectTrust.org, a nonprofit, self-regulatory entity formed by members of the Direct Project, is currently testing an accreditation program with multiple health information service providers and certificate authorities. The formal accreditation program will launch with the help EHNAC, a standards development organization and accrediting body, headquartered in Farmington, Conn., in early 2013.
