Children’s hospitals admissions and staffed-bed counts increasing

Admissions and staffed-bed counts at children’s hospitals increased slightly in 2013, Modern Healthcare reports.

Data from the American Hospital Association indicates staffed-bed counts at children’s hospitals increased 0.6 percent, while admissions increased 0.3 percent. According to Census Bureau estimates, the number of children in the U.S. under 18 will increase from 74.3 million in 2014 to 76.2 million in 2020.
