Board dissolves ICQV, endorses AMGA

Leaders of the Institute for Clinical Quality and Value (ICQV) dissolved the organization effective June 30 and endorsed the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) as an alternative venue for members to share clinical integration ideas, experiences and best practices to improve clinical quality and efficiency.

AMGA is an Alexandra, Va.-based association representing medical groups and organized systems of care. More than 117,000 physicians practice in AMGA member organizations, providing healthcare services for 110 million patients in 49 states. ICQV, a Chicago-based nonprofit organization, will transfer its assets to the American Medical Group Foundation (AMGF), AMGA's 501(c)(3) subsidiary.

AMGA has developed a transition plan for former ICQV members to become members of AMGA. The association has formed a Learning Collaborative for Clinical Integration and Value (CCIV) that will serve as the vehicle to continue the work of ICQV, AMGA stated.
