Arizona insurance brokerages partner to better serve region

Two of Arizona’s largest life and health insurance brokerages are teaming up to increase product selection, service and convenience for insurance agents in the region.

Western Asset Protection in Phoenix and Brokers Alliance in Fountain Hills are collaborating to diversify their businesses and to strengthen relationships with other brokers and clients, according to a statement from Western Asset Protection.

WAP, founded in 1982, distributes Medicare supplement insurance and Medicare Advantage insurance products and serves more than 800 advisors in several states.

Broker Alliance distributes life insurance and annuities, and plans to hire 60 people within the next 18 months, according to the statement.

"Two of the largest insurance distributors of their kind are coming together," said Eric Palmer, chief marketing officer of Brokers Alliance, in a statement. "This will make us a one-stop shop for health and life insurance in the Southwest."
