AOD Software Acquires Stratis

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--AOD Software, delivering the industry’s leading integrated software solution to senior care providers, today announced its acquisition of Stratis Business Systems, Inc., a leader in home health and home care cloud-based software, increasing clinical and financial efficiencies across the entire spectrum of care.

By combining these two prominent technology providers, AOD and Stratis are now primed to address a growing need for a combined senior care and home care solution. According to a December 2013 Harris Williams & Co. study, home health spending will grow by 80 percent by 2019, with the pending retirement of the baby boomer population as one of the factors contributing to the increasing demand for at-home and senior care. These trends mean there is a growing need for an integrated, complete solution that reaches beyond what is currently offered.

“We are thrilled to now include Stratis in the AOD family,” said Aric Agmon, president and CEO of AOD. “Today, we begin the process of integrating our two organizations and technologies to expand and enhance offerings for population health management to reach across the spectrum of care. As senior living facilities continue to provide more care outside their facility walls, it will be critical that they have solutions that work seamlessly together in each care setting. We are certain that the experience and expertise each organization brings, along with their shared culture of client service and innovation, will enhance our solutions that are well aligned for this growing need.”

Stratis, now an AOD Software company, has partnered with more than 300 established home care companies to deliver solutions for all lines of home care. Its Soneto™ cloud-based software system, which is uniquely designed to handle the needs of Medicare, private pay and Medicaid agencies, includes key modules for CRM, scheduling, telephony, billing, financial and point of care solutions. Soneto™ was designed for the enterprise care provider and growing organizations with multiple service lines and offices.

“This milestone marks a game-changing move in Stratis’ company history, the senior care and home health markets,” said Joe Kraus, founder and president of Stratis. “By expanding resources through AOD and leveraging their industry expertise, Stratis will accelerate its growth in a market that is rapidly expanding into home care operations. We will continue to advance the Soneto product and develop its breadth and functionality.”

The combined entities will result in one of the largest software companies in South Florida and one of the largest healthcare IT companies focused on seniors. The combined companies will employ more than 200 professionals and serve over 3,000 senior care and home care sites, enhancing the lives of hundreds of thousands of seniors in the U.S., Canada and Australia.
