Report: Med-device integration with EMR driving market growth
More than half of U.S. hospitals, 54 percent, plan to purchase products designed to help integrate medical devices with EMRs over the next two years.
CapSite, the research and advisory firm behind the finding, said it arrived at the figure after receiving “voice of customer” input from more than 300 hospitals. The Burlington, Vt.-based firm released the data Aug. 9 by way of announcing the latest in a series of industry reports it has prepared to parse the unfolding ramifications of the HITECH Act of 2009.
CapSite said the new report contains insights on the primary drivers behind hospitals’ investments in medical-device integration products and the most important attributes hospitals look for.
The firm has posted a PDF of the report’s table of contents and is directing those interested in obtaining the full study to its website.
