Memorial Healthcare System tabs Fernandez as new CEO

Aurelio Fernandez has been announced as the new president and CEO of the Memorial Healthcare System, reports Sun Sentinel.

Fernandez, the current interim president and CEO of the healthcare provider, will permanently assume the new positions after a month long search to fill the position.

Fernandez has a bachelor's degree in business administration and accounting and a master's degree in health services administration from Florida International University. He also serves on the Florida Hospital Association's board of trustees.

The Memorial Healthcare System includes six hospitals, a nursing home, urgent care centers and home health services as well as being a research hub.
