Hospital executives confident King v. Burwell case will not hurt their business
Hospital executives are optimistic the Supreme Court will rule in favor of the defendant in the King v. Burwell case and not make changes to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, Reuters reports.
After hearing justice Anthony Kennedy’s comments on March 4, investors also were confident the Supreme Court would uphold the subsidies offered to people who buy coverage through health insurance exchanges. Shares in hospital stocks rose following the Supreme Court heard oral arguments in the case.
