Zipnosis certified by Surescripts to add medication history to virtual care platform

Zipnosis, providers of virtual care software, has been certified by Surescripts to add medication history services to its virtual care platform.

The certification allows providers to view real-time medication history validation and prescriptions from the updated provider workflow. Additionally, Zipnosis will provide extra safety features including medication interaction and allergy checking as well as prescribing precautions related to pregnancy and breastfeeding. The added functions to the platform allow providers to make more accurate decisions on medications using personalized healthcare data.

"Ensuring the safety and efficacy of care delivered through the Zipnosis platform continues to be our highest priority," said Kevin Smith, MD, chief medical information officer at Zipnosis. "Incorporating Surescripts medication history information as part of the provider workflow further enhances their ability to make clinically sound prescribing decisions and streamlines their experience with the platform."
