Pulse Complete EHR is Ready for ICD-10
WICHITA, Kan., July 22, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Pulse Systems, Inc., an industry-leading provider of Electronic Health Record (EHR), Practice Management, e-prescribing, Billing and Collections, and other Revenue Cycle Management solutions, recently updated its Complete EHR as part of its comprehensive plan to prepare for the transition to ICD-10 on Oct. 1, 2015.
"We know that the implementation of ICD-10 weighs heavily on the minds of many in the health care industry," said Jeff Burton, President and CEO of Pulse Systems, Inc. "As we continue to look for additional ways to make the implementation as smooth as possible for our clients, enhancements such as this play a critical role in ensuring that patient care and payments for patient care aren't interrupted or hindered this October."
The new release allows users to begin entering ICD-10 codes into a patient's medical record and meets Meaningful Use Stage 1 and 2 requirements. Providers will still be able to assign ICD-9 codes into the medical record to account for parties who may not transition until later this year.
"Our EHR gives providers additional flexibility to work with insurance carriers or outside parties who may not be ready for ICD-10 or who have chosen to remain on the ICD-9 system by allowing users to utilize both systems as needed," Burton said.
The Pulse Complete EHR is one of the most robust and versatile electronic health record systems on the market today, offering medical providers unparalleled workflow customization and documentation flexibility. The Pulse Complete EHR is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR on Aug. 7, 2013, by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT(R)), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
