Surescripts, an e-prescribing company based in Arlington, Va., was awarded $1.4 million for the project while Irvine, Calif.-based SK & A Informational was awarded $2.5 million to document electronic exchange of clinical data, which may consist of administrative transactions such as e-prescribing.

The companies will provide reports for the sample geographic areas of the state of Indiana, the primary metropolitan statistical area of Washington, D.C., Orange County, Calif., and New Orleans zip code 70112.

On a quarterly basis, Surescripts and SK & A will provide a collection of data history documenting the tracking of trends and the companies’ experiences to ONC through December 2014.
