Liaison Healthcare and PointClickCare Partner for Lab Connectivity & Interoperability

Liaison Healthcare, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today a strategic partnership with PointClickCare®, the most widely used Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform for the long-term care industry, connecting their EHR platform to more than 120 labs and imaging departments already integrated within the Liaison EMR-Link(TM) hub, as well as others that provide specific services to the long term care community.  Liaison will also be an exhibitor at the PointClickCare Summit, November 3-6 in San Antonio.

PointClickCare will embed Liaison's SaaS-based EMR-Link(TM) into its Electronic Health Record (EHR) platform, enabling them to provide lab results to their customers in a way that integrates into their existing workflow, improving care efficiencies in the facilities and providing more time to care for residents. This seamless, transparent connectivity also provides a predictable, repeatable method for integration to the multiple labs used by their long-term care customers, providing even greater flexibility and scalability.

"We need the ability to easily capture lab results within the PointClickCare EHR platform, similar to physicians in general practices," said Dave Wessinger, Chief Technology Officer with PointClickCare. "While Meaningful Use requirements are not yet mandated for our customers in the same way as other providers, we want to be ready and are pleased to be working with Liaison to achieve this goal."

"Long term care facilities and supporting providers struggle with interoperability and integrations in the same way as the rest of the healthcare industry," said Gary Palgon, vice president, healthcare solutions, Liaison Healthcare. "Liaison Healthcare is committed to providing the best cloud-based services to our clients so that they can better manage the patient/resident experience and eliminate the dependency on paper and fax orders."
