Delaware Health Information Network and Halfpenny Technologies Expand Medical Results Delivery

BLUE BELL, Pa.--Halfpenny Technologies, Inc. and the Delaware Health Information Network (DHIN) announced today that they have signed an agreement that will enable the delivery of clinical results to DHIN’s enrolled practices using the physician practices’ electronic health records (EHRs) software. Halfpenny Technologies has partnerships with numerous EHR companies that currently serve DHIN enrolled practices. This agreement, utilizing Halfpenny’s intelligent integration technology hub, supplements the wide range of services provided by DHIN.

“Accessing lab data in a timely manner and within the established workflow of the healthcare provider allows for more timely and effective clinical support, essential to delivering better patient care,” Halfpenny Technologies President and CEO, Tim Kowalski said. “By leveraging our single interface with DHIN we provide numerous opportunities for more EMR vendors to provide DHIN results directly to their clients.”

Once established, this integration will be able to be used by multiple EMR vendors, providing for a more efficient process for testing and establishing medical results delivery to individual practices. It is expected this new arrangement will help simplify both the contractual requirements and technical requirements for launching a certified EMR interface, making it easier for doctors to receive and view results on their patients.

“We are thrilled to announce this new collaboration with Halfpenny Technologies,” said Jan Lee, MD, DHIN CEO. “As a physician myself, I appreciate how important it is to deliver information directly within the established workflow of a care provider. This agreement provides DHIN with the opportunity to greatly expand the number of DHIN EMR integrations and making it easier for care providers to view medical reports on their patients. When you improve communication in healthcare, everybody wins!”
