Presbyterian Homes of Georgia LIVE with HCS Interactant® EMR
WALL TOWNSHIP, NJ (PRWEB) APRIL 12, 2016
HCS, a leading provider of clinical and financial healthcare information systems to more than 6,000 client locations, today announced that the Quitman, GA-based Presbyterian Homes of Georgia (PHG) has gone live with Interactant Order Entry and Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) components. The life plan community (LPC) has been live with Interactant Revenue Cycle, Financial, and Insight modules along with EMR components since the summer of 2013.
“We leveraged the successful implementation of clinical documentation including notes, assessments, plan of care, MDS, and incident reporting by now deploying order entry with the eMAR across our facilities,” said Dr. Frank H. McElroy, Jr., President and CEO of PHG. “Having an automated process of ancillary and medication order entry streamlines resident care and improves outcomes.”
The HCS Interactant EMR delivers real benefits to PHG, such as automating the process of capturing vital signs including blood glucose level and behavior tracking for psychoactive drugs. An additional benefit example is reducing the scanning of monthly physician renewals via physician portal with the ability to electronically sign monthly orders.
“The HCS implementation team is highly experienced in understanding LTC organizations’ unique needs,” said Gwen Hardy, Chief Operating Officer of PHG. “Interactant has proven to be a flexible solution to address our changing needs, and HCS is always responsive when we need support. Our partnership with HCS has increased integration between our many facilities and corporate operations - a goal we set out to meet when choosing a HIT vendor.”
“Our commitment to the LTPAC providers community continues, as evidenced by successful implementations at organizations such as Presbyterian Homes of Georgia.” highlights Tom Fahey, President & CEO of HCS. “With the lack of incentive dollars from CMS, successful EMR roll outs take an organization-wide commitment, and we are proud of all that PHG has accomplished.”
