Intermountain Healthcare announces new CEO

Intermountain Healthcare has announced Dr. A. Marc Harrison as the new president and CEO of the 22-hospital medical group, reports KSL in Salt Lake City.

The new CEO will head Intermountain Healthcare, which employs 1,300 physicians across 22 hospitals and 185 clinics.

"Dr. Harrison has impressive experience and a proven track record of leading health organizations, and is immensely qualified to build on Intermountain’s legacy and oversee the organization as we continue the work of transforming health care to meet the challenges ahead," said Scott Anderson, Board Chairman and CEO of Zions Bank.  

Harrisons latest accomplishments include having experience as chief of international business development for Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, serving as the chief medical operations officer for the as well as chairman of pediatric critical care, and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
