Fla. REC selects athenahealth as EHR partner

Central Florida Health Information Technology Initiative (CFHITI), the University of Central Florida’s regional extension center, has selected athenahealth as a preferred EHR partner.

CFHITI, based in Orlando, is a collaborative partnership between the University of Central Florida and the Central Florida Regional Health Information Organization (CFRHIO).

CFHITI will enable physicians across central Florida to utilize athenaClinicals, athenahealth's cloud-based EHR, and other health IT in their practices, according to athenahealth, of Watertown, Mass.

athenaClinicals, is a 2011/2012-compliant certified Complete EHR, the company stated.
