eRAD adds uniRAD to RIS/PACS release

eRAD has released version 6.2 of its RIS/PACS, which includes a Web-based workflow consolidation and interoperability platform, uniRAD.

With customizable preferences and automated processes, uniRAD provides physicians with a single point of access to information stored across different systems in numerous locations, the company said.

The Greenville, S.C.-based company said that depending on the configuration, tools such as scheduling, dictation, transcription and report distribution can co-exist with other solutions, allow for incorporation of non-integrated imaging sites, temporary alliances or loosely associated users.

uniRAD is designed to offer multi-site, multi-vendor PACS integration, with optional storage configurations, according to Roy W. Miller, MD, president and CEO, eRAD.

Bridgefield Capital, founded in 2015, has previously invested in such popular brands as Cirque Du Soleil, Del Monte and Quiksilver. This transaction is expected to be completed in the second half of 2025.

Given the precarious excitement of the moment—or is it exciting precarity?—policymakers and healthcare leaders must set directives guiding not only what to do with AI but also when to do it.
