MaxQ AI announces ISO 27001 certification
MaxQ AI has achieved ISO 27001 certification, meaning the Tel Aviv, Israel-based company fully complies with the internationally recognized information security standard.
The standard provides key requirements related to information security management systems, ensuring that sensitive data remains secure at all times. It was designed to work for small, medium and large businesses from any industry where cybersecurity may be a concern.
“Although ISO 27001 certification is not mandatory at this time, MaxQ AI chose to pursue this higher standard because we understood the commercial benefits for our channel partners and for the healthcare sector as a whole,” Robert Mehler, MaxQ AI’s co-founder, COO and chief information security officer, said in a prepared statement. “Cybersecurity is a threat that goes far beyond lost revenue and expenses. An attack can have dire, potentially irreparable consequences for patient care and to the healthcare organization’s reputation.”
Earning this certification took a full year of preparation, with MaxQ AI’s quality management system team working to make sure each department was doing its part to help recognize and combat any potential security issues.
