The cardiovascular care of thousands of Missouri patients is suddenly up in the air. The heart of the issue is a practice's alleged interest in opening up a new private equity-backed clinic.
On Tuesday, a judge formally rejected a motion by the company to have the case dismissed. Carelon Behavioral Health, a subsidiary of Elevance, is accused of publishing an inaccurate directory of providers for those seeking mental health services.

The funding is a response to the escalating demand for registered nurses, nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives and nurse faculty throughout the United States.
“This situation unacceptably exacerbates the interventional cardiology workforce shortage and threatens to directly impact the care of patients," SCAI wrote in a new statement.
“Until there is a global consensus on how this is regulated, Asian countries—where data privacy is less of a focus—could see a clear contrast with the West in how AI is used.”
