‘The New Normal’ AI toolset coming to a public place near you?

A company with a name that sounds like a book title has formed to beat back COVID and future health crises by tapping the powers of AI.

The New Normal: AI Solutions for Post-Pandemic America announced its launch from San Francisco July 31, saying it’s got deployment-ready AI tools for helping with social distancing, crowdsize control, facemask compliance and fever detection.

“We see AI as an essential part of maintaining public health in post-pandemic America,” says CEO Steven Piekarczyk, “which is why we’re focusing our energy and resources on making this technology available as widely as possible.”

The company has posted a video showing its ideas in action.
