AmericanWell offers first telehealth SDK

Telehealth provider American Well introduced the first-ever mobile Telehealth Software Development Kit (SDK) which allows any user to add online doctor visits into their native mobile apps.

“We believe one day every consumer will use telehealth with their doctor, and the SDK is our guarantee that future is imminent,” said Roy Schoenberg, MD, AmericanWell's CEO and co-founder.

Users have many options with in-app telehealth, according to the company, inlcuding healthcare management, online health information searches, prescription refills and medical compliance and adherence.
