39% of providers do not offer telehealth services

According to a recent MGMA survey, 39 percent of healthcare providers do not offer telehealth services and 20 percent are unsure if they will.

Providers' main concerns include physician buy-in, lack of need in their specialty and concerns with insurance reimbursement. Despite the high rate of providers not offering the service, 26 percent do and 15 percent plan to. Providers still considering implementing telehealth are researching the service to see if it fits into their practice.
