Wolters Kluwer Health and Logical Images Partner to Offer VisualDx Diagnosis Support Tool to Lexicomp Customers
HUDSON, Ohio--Wolters Kluwer Health, a leading global provider of information for healthcare professionals and students, announced today that the partnership between its drug information solution, Lexicomp®, and digital medical image library, Logical Images®, is continuing to grow, with Lexicomp now offering subscriptions to Logical Images’ flagship solution VisualDx®. Designed to assist in the diagnosis of diseases that prevent visually, VisualDx can help individual Lexicomp users enhance patient care and promote shared decision making to strengthen the patient-physician relationship.
Now available for individual customers to order on its website, Lexicomp offers a VisualDx package that includes an online subscription and mobile app download. Both platforms provide access to 30,000 easily searchable images that clinicians can compare to their patients’ visible symptoms to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of 1,300 diseases and conditions. Dermatologists, other physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants frequently use VisualDx and its library of images to help patients better understand their conditions. When diagnoses are met with disbelief and denial, patients are often more receptive when a clinician can use visuals to communicate a diagnosis and treatment plan.
“VisualDx is a natural complement to Lexicomp drug information resources, as both place a high value on clear, relevant information clinicians can access and assess efficiently at the point of care,” stated Steven Kerscher, Vice President & General Manager, Clinical Drug Information, Wolters Kluwer Health, Clinical Solutions. “Lexicomp is proud to further support safe diagnoses and superior patient care by offering its clinicians a chance to purchase this unique VisualDx solution.”
