This week in the app store: Birth control

Innovators are pushing to make family planning easier for all women. A recent study on the birth control application Dot shows how using app-only birth control can advance reproductive technology.

Dot is a free app assisting women in planning or preventing pregnancy by providing additional information on their menstrual cycles. The app uses algorithms to track a user's cycle to measure the chances of pregnancy. This information can be used to either prevent or plan a pregnancy, giving women greater control of their own reproductive health.
