Washington hospital installs Toshiba MR system
St. Anthony Hospital in Gig Harbor, Wash., has installed Toshiba Medical Systems’ Vantage Titan MR system at its new 80-bed facility.
Officials at St. Anthony’s said they selected the Vantage Titan because they were looking for an MR system capable of handling neurological exams, brain and spine studies, as well as knee, lumbar, hand, ankle and feet imaging.
According to Toshiba, the Vantage Titan helps expedite MR examinations and enhances workflow with its integrated coil concept, which allows physicians to perform multiple exams without having to reposition a patient and also allows feet-first imaging for feet-to-shoulder exams. Toshiba also said its Speeder parallel imaging allows for increased acquisition speed and reduced exam times.
