Washington hospital connects with Medicity
Overlake Hospital Medical Center, a 337-bed nonprofit regional medical center in Bellevue, Wash., will implement Medicity’s suite of tools for enabling the exchange of health information.
In its first phase, Overlake will deploy Medicity's Novo Grid to automate transactions including scheduled orders and lab orders, referrals, results and report distribution with plans to integrate community EHRs, according to Medicity, of Salt Lake City.
In the next phase, Overlake will roll out ProAccess Community and MediTrust Cloud Services for aggregating and matching data, as well as its record locator service. The medical center also plans to collaborate with other hospitals and providers as well as its statewide HIE as soon as it's operational, the company added.
