Toshiba notches Oklahoma 1.5T MRI install

Toshiba America Medical Systems has installed its 800th Vantage 1.5T MRI system at Elkview General Hospital in Hobart, Okla.

Elkview is using the Vantage system for orthopedic, neuro and abdominal imaging.

The Tustin, Calif.-based Toshiba said its Pianissimo technology reduces acoustic noise. Additionally, the system’s integrated coil concept allows physicians to perform exams without repositioning the patient, the company said. In addition, Toshiba said the Vantage's Speeder parallel imaging increases acquisition speed and reduces exam times.
