Telemedicine proposal fails in Arkansas
One of two competing proposals to allow telemedicine providers to operate in Arkansas has failed before the state House.
The proposal that failed before the House on a 49-21 vote would have allowed telemedicine companies to operate in Arkansas using doctors licensed and living in the state.
A Senate-backed proposal pending before the House would require the doctor using telemedicine to have seen the patient in person previously, while the bill rejected by the House would allow the two to have interacted using audio or video technology.
