Siemens equips U.K. provider with imaging systems
Bassetlaw Hospital in Nottinghamshire, England, which is part of the U.K.'s Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, has installed a Magentom Avanto 1.5 Tesla MRI, Artis zee Multipurpose C-arm and Somatom Sensation CT from Siemens Healthcare.
The Avanto has been installed in Bassetlaw’s MRI department for general scanning purposes and to provide diffusion imaging assistance in neurological exams. The Artis zee Multipurpose is being used in the x-ray department for a range of oncology, orthopedic and gastrointestinal procedures, while the Somatom Sensation multislice scanner has extended the range of services at Bassetlaw to include CT angiographies, lung biopsies and ENT procedures.
