Siemens develops mobile table to improve MRI-OR integration
Siemens Healthcare has developed a new mobile table designed to transport patients from the intervention room to the MRI scanner.
The Combi Dockable Table, which is compatible with Siemens’ Magnetom Aera and Magnetom Skyra scanners as well as neurosurgery operating tables manufactured by Maquet or Trumpf, allows integration of MRI during surgery. Patients lie on a shell on the operating table, and the shell can be moved on the Combi Dockable Table directly into the scanner.
Siemens will present the table and other products in its Magnetom Combi Suites at the European Congress of Radiology 2012 in Vienna.
