Shortage of mental health providers causing more problems
Fewer than half of the 42.5 million people with mental illness in the U.S. receive treatment, at least in part because of the shortage of mental health providers, the Wall Street Journal reports.
In September 2014, 96.5 million people lived in areas with shortages of mental health providers, up from 91 million in 2012.
