Sentinelle to license Medipatterns breast CAD technology

Medical software developer Medipattern and Sentinelle Medical, a manufacturer of MRI coils and advanced visualization software, are entering a technology access and distribution agreement.

The Toronto-based Medipattern developed breast ultrasound computer-aided detection (CAD) breast lesion MRI morphological analysis technology. Under the agreement, the Toronto-based Sentinelle would gain exclusive license to Medipattern's breast MRI morphological analysis technology.

Morphological analysis, lesion kinetics, diffusion contrast coupled with breast MRI images produced by Sentinelle's line of MRI coils could assist in lesion detection and differentiation, according to Cameron Piron, CEO of Sentinelle. "Partnering with Medipattern allows us to launch a next-generation platform that will utilize these developments,” he added.
