SAMHSA holding opioid recovery app challenge

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is holding a challenge for an innovative mobile app to provide opioid recovery support for patients receiving medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorders.

The organization is seeking a free, user-friendly opioid recovery support app available to patients in recovery who are receiving outpatient medication-assisted treatment. Any features, tools or assets in the app need to be tied to the evidence-based insights provided.

Those undergoing medication-assisted treatment (MAT) could benefit from a mobile app for smartphones that provides features and information that supports their maintenance in recovery, according to SAMHSA.

$32,500 in prizes are up for grabs and those interested can submit until May 28. Learn more.
