RadNet scoops up three imaging facilities out of bankruptcy

RadNet, a provider of fixed-site outpatient diagnostic imaging services through a network of 185 outpatient imaging centers, has acquired three multi-modality facilities from the Sonix Medical Resources’ bankruptcy proceeding in New York.

The Los Angeles-based RadNet said it paid $2.25 million for the three facilities which currently produce approximately $7 million of combined annual revenues. The facilities, located in Brooklyn, N.Y., Chatham, N.J., and Haddon Heights, N.J., operate a combination of MRI, CT, mammography, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, x-ray and related modalities.

The facility in Brooklyn’s is RadNet’s reported first foray into any New York City borough, and an opportunity to work with Maimonides Medical Center’s radiology group.
