ONC offers advice on patient-generated health data

Two new guides released by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) offer advice on how to navigate the realm of patient-generated health data.

The first guide, “Assessing Patient Experience with Care,” explores the positives of measuring patient experience and highlights practices to achieve this end. Specifically, the guide offers tips on administering patient experience surveys to assess customers’ experiences with health IT like portals, secure messaging and downloading their health information.

The second guide provides fundamental information on patient-generated data, and outlines steps to incorporate such information into medical practices.
