Ohio college accesses emergency care info via biometrics

Hiram College in Hiram, Ohio, has partnered with health IT services company My LifePlan to provide personal health management for students and faculty emergency care.

My LifePlan integrates biometric technology and web-based access to provide first responders and hospital emergency room staff with critical information, according to the Ravenna, Ohio-based company.

My LifePlan’s MyChoice delivers patient information to caregivers via the swipe of the patient's finger or via the use of an ID card, the company stated.
