According to a press release issued Sept. 27, N.Y. Presbyterian/Columbia have taken measures to reduce the likelihood of a future incident “by strengthening our information and data security systems and enhancing our employees’ awareness."
The hospital has notified all patients affected by this exposure and does not have any evidence that this information has been misused, according to the statement.
