NexGen, Ingram Micro team up for EHR adoption
Ingram Micro has entered into a new distribution agreement with EHR/practice management company NextGen Healthcare Information Systems to recruit, train and support new partners who help providers take advantage of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 stimulus payments for health IT adoption.
The U.S. distribution relationship complements Ingram Micro’s ARRA economic stimulus effort IMStimulus and boosts the existing IMHealth porfolio by including NextGen EPM, NextGen EHR and NextGen Community Health Solution, according to the Horsham, Pa.-based NextGen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Quality Systems.
Ingram Micro, of Santa Ana, Calif., will also provide financing and leasing options to help providers acquire NextGen applications, increase their margin opportunity and minimize their expenditures, NextGen stated.
