NCPDP Educational Summit, Improving the Infrastructure for Continuity of Care, Features Keynote, Steven Posnack
Scottsdale, AZ, September 22, 2014-- NCPDP, the not-for-profit pharmacy standards development organization, announced today the line-up for its 2014 Educational Summit, “Improving the Infrastructure for Continuity of Care,” which will be held November 11, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis. Steven Posnack, MS, MHS, director, Office of Standards and Technology, Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, will keynote the one-day program, which takes place right before NCPDP’s Work Group Meetings, November 12-14, 2014.

NCPDP’s Educational Summit content is intended for all healthcare industry stakeholders, including claims processors, electronic health record (EHR) vendors, health plans, large employer groups, manufacturers, pharmacists, pharmacies, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), pharmacy technicians, physicians, physician assistants, and state and national associations.
Educational Summit Program
The 2014 Educational Summit kicks off with a panel discussion on the “Expanding Role of the Pharmacist” and industry standards to support evolving care delivery models. The content-rich program also includes hot topics such as Medicare Part D program changes, and updates on ePrescribing and Prescription Drug Monitoring Programs (PDMPs).
