Minneapolis imaging center adopts Fonars MRI
The Center for Diagnostic Imaging (CDI) in Minneapolis has installed Fonar’s Upright Multi-Position MRI to replace its existing low-field, open-sided scanner.
According to the Melville, N.Y.-based company, the Fonar scanner can accommodate patients up to 500 pounds, and those who suffer from claustrophobia. In addition, Fornar said the technology gives clinicians the ability to scan patients in multiple positions to provide imaging views of the spine in various positions such as flexion, extension or lateral bending.
