McKesson inks PACS deal with Ireland

Kildare, Ireland-based Health Service Executive has entered into an agreement worth $50.27 million with Healthcare IT company McKesson for the implementation of a national integrated medical imaging system.

The three-year contract will help to digitize Ireland’s radiological services and store diagnostic images from various modalities, including ultrasound, x-rays, CT and MRI scans across the health services’ hospitals, said the San Francisco-based company.
